Connect Shopify

LedgerSync uses a server-side OAuth flow for Shopify. Enter the shop domain, complete the install flow, and then import sample order and product data for mapping and preview.

Before you connect

  • - Use a Shopify dev store or test store when you are evaluating the app.
  • - Confirm the store domain is in the store-name.myshopify.com format.
  • - Make sure Shopify OAuth credentials are configured on the server first.

Required permissions

  • - read_orders to import order and refund data for preview.
  • - read_products to match SKUs and product titles during mapping.
  • - read_customers to support customer matching and order context.
  • - read_inventory and read_locations for inventory-aware reconciliation workflows later.
  • - read_fulfillments to understand shipping and order lifecycle context.

Testing tips

  • - Generate test orders in the dev store so imports have recent records to normalize.
  • - Use the preview workspace to confirm discounts, taxes, shipping, and payout clearing logic.
  • - Expect a limitation: Shopify simulated test orders may not create real payout records.
